About
My moving company was generating $1000 a day, and I was STILL losing money.
Let me explain.
I spent years building my brand, and I worked. Every. Single. Job.
Eventually, I was able to hire more movers and take on more jobs.
But..
Taking on more jobs and hiring more movers meant losing more money.
The customer’s expensive table.
Scratched
The irreplaceable antique they told you meant the world to them.
Destroyed
Almost every job I wasn't on, I got a call about something being..
Wait for it…
Damaged
No matter how many times I showed my team how to wrap, they could never get as good as me.
And things just kept getting damaged.
Or guys would get good, and suddenly they would leave, taking all their experience with them.
I needed this to stop.
What were all the big companies doing? I can't be the only company dealing with this.
So, we started using plastic wrap, wrapping everything in plastic.
It took two guys to wrap each piece of furniture.
One to hold the thing from falling over, while the other ran around in circles like a chicken with its head cut off.
Moves started taking way longer, which meant the final bill was huge.
You could see the smoke coming from the customer's head.
Because in their eyes, we milked the time by running around in circles and were about to hand them a huge bill.
It was either discount the time or charge full price and never be called back OR recommended ever again.
I went back to the drawing board and noticed the elite-level guys all used rubber bands.
But... learning how to use bands takes months to master.
WAIT I KNOW!
I'll fly out my entire team to California to train with the best trainer in the industry.
They will come back pros!
But.. They didn't.
It was like expecting to be fluent in Chinese in only one weekend.
Impossible.
And to make matters worse... shortly after the trip, everyone who went to California.. quit.
The thousands of dollars I spent on the trainer.
The thousands I spent on hotels, flights, AND paid training.
All the years of experience
Vanished.. Just like that.
I needed an answer.
What if I had something that didn't require months of experience? So if someone quits, so what?
What if I had something that worked so fast it saved my customers money?
What if I had something so simple to use, it was almost impossible to mess it up?
What if I had something that protected every inch of my customer's furniture?
And then it came to me.
What if instead of trying to teach my movers how to wrap furniture with bands or plastic wrap, the blanket did it for them.
I was trying to solve the wrong problem all along.
I needed a system where I could show a brand new mover ONE TIME and they'd be trained.
I needed a system that didn't require me to be on every single job just so nothing gets damaged.
I needed a system that didn't stop working EVEN when my best guy stopped showing up.
So I decided to create a better system.
I made the leap of faith and flew to Asia to start the manufacturing process.
My first attempt took 6 months, and it was a total failure.
I lost a ton of money.
So I flew to a whole new country and started from scratch.
This time I had a better idea of what I needed to do.
And in a few months.. My product was finished.
I gave it to someone with zero experience.. My little sister.
I showed her only one time and..
She wrapped an armchair to perfection.
I even gave it to my elderly mother, and within seconds she wrapped a dresser.
Leaving no exposed wood.
Now came the real test, I had to sell it.
Will anyone want this?
It's not cheap, and no one has ever seen or used something like this.
I set up my store and started posting videos online.
Some people laughed, but I still kept posting.
I thought I would never get any sales.
Until.. One of my videos went viral, and I sold out.
Finally, my moving company wasn't falling apart anymore.
Jobs became profitable again, and calls about damage only happened once in a blue moon.
I built something I could share with other moving companies facing the same problem.
The way moving companies protect furniture hasn't really changed in decades.
But I found a better way to do it.
I realized there are still more problems to solve in the moving industry.
I invite you to stick around for the ride. I recently released a reusable TV box, and tons of new products are up next.
